Trainee Sales Executive - Kent

Our client is a leading manufacturer that sells products into the construction sector. Due to continued growth and product demand, our client is now looking to recruit a Trainee Sales Executive to join their team and ultimately manage their customers from the Builders Merchant sector.
As a Merchant Sales Executive, you will be responsible for visiting builders merchants, discussing needs, providing product advice and developing long standing relationships. A comprehensive training package will be provided for this role, so previous external sales experience isn't required.
Once trained on the products and business, responsibilities of your role will include:
Develop new, and maintain existing, long term business relationships with existing base of merchant customersCollaborate with customers to create attractive sales floor displays and make sure samples of our products are prominently seen, thus creating sales opportunitiesEnsure that all merchant branches have maximum sales support material in place with up to date literature, samples and all point of saleBe able to deliver basic product training to meet customer requirementsHave a structured and planned journey plan that runs alongside a structured contact planDevelop and maintain the Existing Customer ListsEnsure that all merchant branches have maximum sales support material in place with up to date literature, samples and all point of saleTasks may require flexible working hours to meet deadlinesProvide Regional Sales Director with all required reports as set by the UK Sales and Marketing Director This role is a field based role and would potentially suit someone from a Sales or Builders Merchant background who is looking to progress into a field based sales/account management position.
