Our client specialises in the manufacturing of medical device packaging. They are looking for a Purchasing and Warehouse Manager to join their supportive and growing team.
About the role:
The role involves managing the purchasing of raw materials and consumables, overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, and ensuring uninterrupted production by providing services to production facilities. Customers can rely on our client’s excellent quality and customer service so maintaining these high standards will be imperative for the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities:
Purchase raw materials and consumables using stock control database
Assist with planning and forecasting
Manage goods in/stock locations using computer system, and communicate with production and planning teams for constant updates
Manage warehouse and packing teams to ensure on-time and correct deliveries, and provide correct materials to production areas
Manage packing, labelling, and palletisation of finished products from the cleanroom to meet packing specifications
Remove waste materials into relevant skips provided
Conduct QC check/testing of goods in, and oversee handling of goods and materials in line with Company Quality Management procedures and customer specifications
Perform stock control and routine stocktaking duties
Operate and oversee routine maintenance of forklift truck and lifting equipment, and ensure training, H&S and general housekeeping
Attend regular Production/communication meetings, and provide data and plans for upcoming storage and production demands
