We have an exciting role to offer, joining our warehouse team in Wrangaton nr Ivybridge.
Under the direction and guidance of the Stock Manager, and in co-operation with the stock management team, the Goods In Manager will have overall management responsibility for the Goods In Team.
Under your leadership and organisation, the team will be responsible for goods in, primary stock administration (working in close partnership with the Stock Controller), quality checks, putaway, and replenishment.
Core Responsibilities of the Goods In ManagerPlanning:
In association with the Stock Manager and Warehouse Manager, co-ordinate the set-up and implementation of new client campaigns, and client stock counts as required.Be aware of forecast client activity, so that you can plan and prioritise the workload of your team.Proactively plan and co-ordinate flexible working practices, to ensure there is sufficient resource during peak activity, and cover during holidays or sickness.Goods In Performance:
Prioritise on productivity, accuracy and quality. Any potential problems should be identified early and effectively resolved.In partnership with your Goods In Supervisor, ensure that all your departmental processes are efficiently implemented in line with the goods in process document, and that all client service levels are met.Analysis:
Maintain accurate activity records, and update the warehouse productivity report accordingly.Consistently monitor performance data, to ensure contractual client service level agreements are met, as safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively as possible.Analyse your team's performance and provide specific information to help the Business Manager and Stock Manager make informed decisions to aid growth and profit.Staff Management:
Provide first line HR support and pastoral care for your team and ensure company staffing policies and procedures are in place.In partnership with your Goods In Supervisor, jointly manage and develop an effective and flexible workforce.Co-ordinate staff holiday requests, to ensure there is adequate skilled cover in place to meet production requirements.Assist the Stock Manager in the comprehensive performance management of your department.Organise training so that your staff have the right skills and knowledge as and where required.Communicate clearly at all levels. Essential SkillsSound operational knowledge of all aspects of Stock Management and Warehousing within an eCommerce or FMCG environment.Proven ability to lead with confidence, positivity, and professionalism.Good verbal and written communication skills. A high degree of numeracy and accuracy.Ability to develop good working relationships throughout the Warehouse Division, and also with the other operational departments of the company.Maintain confidentiality at all times.An advanced knowledge of our client systems would be an advantage, although full training will be given.Physical ability and aptitude necessary to work within a warehouse environment.Strong organisational skills, to allow you to prepare in advance for different levels of activity, utilising your team and site resources effectively.Relevant forklift licenses and first aid qualifications would be an advantage.Have a competent knowledge of statutory H&S and manual handling guidance.Willingness to undertake training to learn new skills as required.About CompanyWhistl are a delivery management company providing efficient, high-quality and competitively priced services across Business Mail, Parcels, Fulfilment and Doordrop Media both in the UK and internationally.
