We have exciting opportunities for two Independent Living Floating Scheme Managers on a Part Time basis. You will be based at a permanent scheme at Warburton House in Cambridge and work across various other schemes. The locations will include Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bury St Edmonds, Luton, St Albans, Bedfordshire and Trowbridge. Due to the nature of the role, you will need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
You will work in the Independent Living Team reporting to the Extra Care Area Manager to deliver a high quality, responsive service that meets the needs of customers living in and applying for Retirement Living housing. You will simultaneously work with another postholder, across the schemes providing appropriate management and cover for the team during periods of absence.
What you will be doing:
Ensuring tenancy action is carried out in line with procedures and all appropriate documentation is issued and relevant records are maintained.Carry out all day-to-day housing related tasks, including sign-ups and relevant tenancy action.Work collaboratively with onsite care teams, the local authority, and other relevant professionals, maintaining clear lines of communication and appropriate referral/escalation routes.Manage and assess the dependency levels of customers, ensuring the scheme provides homes for people of varying care and support needs whilst maintaining a reasonable balance that facilitates and healthy and vibrant community.All safeguarding concerns are logged and addressed. Experience of working with clients with complex needs.Housing Management experience would be beneficial.Demonstrates a sensitive and supportive approach to the needs of older people.Able to effectively manage challenging behaviour.Able to learn new IT systems and keep accurate, detailed records.Self-motivated and solutions focussed.
