4Recruitment Services are seeking a Floating Housing Support Worker to assist our client based in Haringey The client provides supported housing to support their customers to live as independently as possible through person-centred support. Their services include: Individually tailored support plan including help with budgeting, welfare benefits claim forms and independent living skills. One-to-one key work with Customers in-person, over the phone, by text, WhatsApp, and also via Skype/video call. One-to-one drop-ins delivered from community locations and existing services where customers can pop in for help and support. One-to-one telephone support including triage/signposting, monitoring, keeping-in-touch wellbeing calls. Community surgeries where you can book an appointment to get help with forms or official letters or any other problems you may be experiencing. Support to connect customers with appropriate self-help, health and wellbeing, travel, and budgeting apps. Technology which promotes independence through our knowledge of Assistive Technology. Service Buddies through day to day activities and friendly chats they help build your confidence and give you something to look forward to The post holder will be required to work approx. 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Provide a high quality housing-related support services to customers in a community setting, which may include their own homes, local cafes, libraries and community centres. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary staff team and meet the requirements of a rota system to ensure flexible support is available to customers. Act as an initial point of reference on the phone, or in an office area as required Carry out day-to-day office administrative functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained and held securely, and confidentiality is upheld. Contribute to the formulation and delivery of person-centred support plans alongside Customers and their Community Navigators to help customers achieve their agreed outcomes. Assist with day-to-day delivery of housing-related support, including life skills development, tenancy sustainment, health and wellbeing, signposting to appropriate agencies, and maximising independence. Deliver targeted community surgeries to groups of customers and 1:1 drop-ins, covering housing-related support topics such as: nutritional wellbeing, money matters, and building confidence and resilience. Promote and actively encourage customer involvement, consultation and communication. Recognise signs of distress in customers and identify solutions with the customer to help reduce this. Advise management of any signs of problems or concerns regarding a customer. Use IT systems appropriately, including updating our customer case-management system, ensuring all records are maintained in a timely and professional manner. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience in floating support wprk Experience working with vulnerable customer groups e.g. people at risk of homelessness, individuals with learning disabilities and/or those with mental health needs. Experience of working in a social care environment Experience delivering housing-related floating support within a community setting is desirable Demonstrable IT skills, including a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Riverside, and to undertake relevant IT training where required.
