My name is Melanie and I am a qualified counsellor based in Exeter, Devon.
I have experience working with a wide range of presenting issues and can help you with:
a difficult life event such as a relationship breakdown, bereavement, work/study related stress, trauma.
a mental health condition you or a loved one may have and be struggling to manage.
grief and loss, including sudden deaths, miscarriage, loss of a pet or job/home.
difficult emotions, for example anger, guilt, shame, low self-esteem.
I am an integrative counsellor, this means I am trained in different therapeutic approaches and can draw from each approach to meet the needs of each individual person (for example: Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness, Trauma techniques etc).
I provide counselling to adults, children and young people.
I am a warm and friendly counsellor offering a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings using an approach best suited to you and your individual needs. I am aware that talking is not easy for everyone and I have skills and resources to help you express yourself in your individual way.
I offer face to face sessions in Exeter or video/telephone appointments to any location. I am also insured to work outside the UK.
