About the role Our Principal Lawyers work alongside our senior leaders delivering operational support in the management of legal services along with carrying a caseload of complex Social Care matters. You will be responsible for line managing up to 7 lawyers in the delivery of services in a busy and supportive environment. Legal Services is committed to public service and are called upon to advise on a wide range of legal matters. Our highly regarded Social Care team provides legal advice and support on the full range of Children and Adult Social Care matters. This is an exciting time to join a committed in house legal team which is delivering an efficient and high quality legal service to enable the council to deliver it corporate priorities for Haringey to be a place where everyone can live healthy and fulfilling lives and feel connected and safe in communities where people support each other and where children and young people can achieve their potential. We are looking for a confident, motivated leader with strong communication and influencing skills to be part of our excellent and friendly legal team. You will be a Solicitor, Barrister or Cilex with experience of having managed a full and varied caseload of legal matters and have demonstrated the ability to support and manage others. You will work with experienced social care lawyers, advocates and clients in addition to carrying a caseload of complex matters including advice and support to the HSCP and HSAB
