Working Site Supervisor (Doorsets & Joinery)
Due to continued growth and development, an exciting opportunity exists for additional Working Site Supervisors to join our client's Production Team.
With involvement in a range of projects, you will assist in leading our client's teams to deliver high quality joinery and doorset installations. Training and development is offered to ensure all team members are trained to BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Doorset Installation & Maintenance standards in addition to Company Procedures and Standards. A good level of joinery experience and skills is preferred to allow smooth management assistance of 1st and 2nd fix packages, along with installation of fitted furniture, shop fronts, etc, all of which our client can be involved with at times.
A large proportion of their works are within the Healthcare sector including Mental Health. The quality of their manufacture and installation is something they are extremely proud of, aided by their bespoke knowledge and skills of these environments. This passion needs to be replicated through yourself. It is important to everyone, that all team members can appreciate the complex needs and requirements of mental health environments to ensure the continued safety and security to patients and staff at all times during challenging experiences. Such standards and skills aid to set our client apart from many other similar companies, promoting the fact they are named by a number of architects and clients as their preferred company of choice.
In addition to a good level of leadership and management skills, you will be required to have an excellent eye for detail and a high level of personal satisfaction to ensure your work and your teams work not only meets, but exceeds client's expectations. Under no circumstances are corners cut at any time. A good level of understanding and appreciation for Health & Safety is paramount to ensure the safety of all individuals at all times during works on site. Team and project sizes will vary in scale, ranging from singular one off doorset replacements, through to full joinery packages, doorset packages and employment as Principle Contractor for internal refurbishment projects, which can see them employing and managing other subcontract trades bringing in further requirements under CDM regulations.
A Working Site Supervisor position with our client would be a good progression step for a joiner/door installer wanting to further progress their career.

Led by the Projects Manager, you could be involved in the planning as well as supervision of a range of projects and travel to and from site within the Company fleet of vehicles generally travelling with the site team. Site locations vary from as close by as Scunthorpe, to further afield across the Country. Our client has a limit to daily travel to and from site for the site team members, with sites based further afield operated with travel to site on a Monday, returning on a Friday generally, with the Company covering costs of accommodation and subsistence. Working away is not every week, however, is required at times.
Your assistance with the development and training of the Projects Site Team will be important to ensure Company Standards and team skills are constantly adhered and developed to their full potential. They are keen to begin an apprenticeship scheme to bring in the next generation offering them a high level of support and guidance.
