Technical Account Manager, H&S Consultancy

£35k - 40k per year + 5% bonus + car allowance + benefits

We are a rapidly growing consultancy business . We specialise in bespoke property related Health and Safety risk management solutions across all business sectors within the UK. Due to further growth, we are looking for an Account Director to help continue our success.
Reporting to the Client Management Director, you will be a qualified health and safety / fire safety consultant or will possess a sufficient level of relevant technical knowledge and experience and will be responsible for managing our larger property management clients.

Overview
You will report to one of the Account Directors but will also work closely with other members of the wider management team. Candidates should hold the NEBOSH General Diploma, or equivalent, and have a number of years’ experience advising on health and safety.
The purpose of the job is to work with and support the Account Director who is responsible for the delivery of consultancy services to clients through the team of Consultants. The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing the service deliverables and the technical health and safety aspects of individual contracts. The Technical Account Manager will interface mainly with the clients’ Health and Safety team, Facilities Managers and with Service Directors, Consultants, Technical Managers and the Helpdesk team.
The role will involve a mixture of business administration, client management and health and safety activities. Experience of Microsoft Office and other collaborative working systems is essential, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
A good understanding of property management/FM would be very advantageous.
The role is home-based with travel to meet with colleagues and clients (including regular meetings in London).
The Technical Account Manager will be at the forefront of our delivery of a high level, responsive quality service to the client and as such, good communication skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude are key. Mental agility and a pro-active approach to problem solving are required - planning ahead to foresee potential issues and taking personal responsibility for completing tasks.
What you will need
NEBOSH H&S Diploma and minimum 3 years’ experience in advising on H&S.
Excellent IT skills and able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously in role.
Willingness to travel (Likely to be 60%+ home-based).
Ability to work on own initiative and pro-active approach to problem solving.
What would be good
Knowledge of property management/FM.
Ability to deliver on H&S training courses.
Environmental knowledge / qualification.
