Personal Assistants Required
I am a disabled woman in my forties living in Hackney Wick.
I am seeking a Personal Assistant to work on a flexible hours contract.
I have a 9 year old child who is neurodivergent; he is very able to interact and communicate but has additional needs for example, in building relationships and stabilising his own feelings. I enjoy living as independently as possible and this role enables the fulfilment of a varied family life. We enjoy travelling and spending time with family. We also have a dog and part of the role involves taking him on walks when needed.
The role requires a full driving licence and the ability to drive with confidence in London.
Desirable attributes include congruence, ability to be spontaneous, emotional literacy, insight into complex disabilities and a willingness to learn. An interest in children, patience and understanding is preferred.
My son is very active and relies on clear boundaries and empathy.
Training and supervision are a part of the contract. Basic pay is at £11.05 per hour; enhanced rate at £15 per hour for holiday assistance and for specific tasks. Pay is monthly through National Payroll.
