REED Legal are recruiting on behalf of an established firm of solicitors who are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary / Assistant to work in their Birkenhead office. The ideal candidate will be well organised, flexible, work well under pressure, be numerate and have a good telephone manner.
Experience:
Ability to deal confidently with clients, both on the telephone and face to face, with the ability to update a client from the file in the absence of a Fee Earner. Previous experience within the legal profession preferred. Excellent word processing experience essential. Good organisational and communication skills to deal effectively with people at all levels.
Role specifics include:
To provide an audio & copy typing and (if applicable) shorthand service to a high standard of presentation and confidentiality. To ensure your own word processing files are well maintained i.e., deleting of unnecessary documents, setting up precedents for documents constantly used. Answer telephone in a polite and courteous manner Manage fee earner's diaries arranging appointments, booking rooms for meetings on the premises via the computer system, organising refreshments for fee earner and clients. Full–time permanent basis to work at their offices based in Birkenhead.
