KS1 Teaching Assistant Long Term Contract

Do you hold a teaching assistant qualification or a relevant degree? Are you available to begin work as soon as possible?
Empowering Learning are working alongside a school in the NG3 area who are looking to appoint a KS1 teaching assistant to work within a year 2 class on a long term basis. The school is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and the bus and tram stops are within walking distance.
The role will be full time and on a fixed term contract until July 2023. There is a possibility this role could become permanent for the right person. The hours of work are 08:15-16:00.
The main duties within this role will be:
Supporting the teaching and learning within the classroom Leading phonics sessions using the ReadWriteInc programmeUsing the school's behaviour and reward system to help engage pupils Assisting the class teacher with the preparation of lessons Working on a 1:1 basis with children who struggle to engage in class Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels The school are looking for someone who:
Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degreeHas at least one years' experience working in a school Holds good knowledge of supporting within KS1Can build relationships with pupils who struggle to engage Will be a good communicator with both staff and pupils To apply for this role, please send across your CV via the application page.
