HR Shared Service Advisor

We are recruiting for a HR Shared Services Advisor to join our busy and proven HR team in Peterborough the role is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a centralised HR Shared Service team and really make a difference to the people we support. The role requires you to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday, covering shifts between 8am 5.30pm on a rota basis. Whilst this post is office based we know that work is something you do not just a place you go. At Mencap we give office-based colleagues and teams more flexibility about where the work is done. This team meets 1 day a week in the office. Are you someone who is willing to learn and try new tasks? We need a confident person to answer calls and emails. It would be good for you to have some computer skills. Do you have the skills to become a HR Shared Service Advisor? You will be doing all employment checks for new employees. Making sure we have employment references and correct identification documents. Making sure all data is correct in Mencap systems and uploaded. Sending letters to employees at Mencap. Experienced and confident in using a wide range of different software and databases Ideally have a good understanding of policies and procedures with the ability to guide our internal customers using the relevant policy and procedures Sending references to previous employees. The successful candidates ideally will have experience working within a customer service environment. You will have the ability to work decisively in collaboration with the teams we support all over the UK.
