English Tutoring (Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher)

Struggling with Nat 5 or Higher English?
I'm a fully qualified teacher of English Language and Literature. I have an M.A. in English and History from the University of Glasgow, and a PGCE (post graduate certificate of education) from Jordanhill College of Education.
I am retired from classroom teaching but have been tutoring privately for sixteen years. I hate to see anyone struggling with the subject I love, and enjoy building up skill and confidence in youngsters who have just about given up. I specialise in pupils who have been predicted a fail or a very low grade. I aim to help them achieve their fullest potential and have enjoyed fantastic results. I also teach many youngsters who are already doing well but want to guarantee an 'A' pass.
Most of my teaching, these days, takes place online via Zoom but I'm always happy to see people face to face where possible.
I can take the pain out of Scottish Texts, Critical Essay, and the dreaded RUAE.
I charge £40 per hour and am always happy to mark students' work free of charge. I am currently located in Edinburgh.
