Job: Architectural Technician Technical Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 Address: Lichfield, WS13 6LH We are a well-established, multi award winning, design led practice offering full Architectural Planning and Technical services to our clients from our offices based in the city of Lichfield, Staffordshire. We have a team of dedicated and talented design and technical staff with a wide range of skills and experience in the field of architecture. We offer a diverse range of architectural services from bespoke new builds, refurbishment & extensions, property development, commercial and retail development, 3D visualisation, small to large scale residential development and master-planning. Architect duties and responsibilities: Selecting appropriate locations for new construction projects to take place Drawing up detailed plans that meet the local council s Building Regulations and requirements for Planning Permission Presenting detailed schematics, plans and budgets to Project Managers, investors or other key stakeholders Designing new buildings that are energy efficient and meet environmental standards and regulations Designing projects to preserve local environmental concerns, such as local wildlife habitats or nesting sites Selecting key contractors and workers who can successfully carry out the project Overseeing construction sites and resolving problems during the building phase of a project Keeping a construction project running on time and within budget Architect skills and qualifications: Ability to accurately draw and sketch building designs using freehand techniques Excellent knowledge of modern construction materials Excellent knowledge of modern architectural principles, equations and processes Ability to use CAD software to produce detailed computer-generated designs. Knowledge of Revit design software for modelling buildings Ability to delegate tasks to appropriate team members or contractors who have the right skill set to complete the job required of them. Registered to practice as an Architect with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) Chartered Architect Status gained through the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Adhere to all industry standards in design
