About the Role As Tax Accountant at Refresco UK you will report into our Tax Manager, and ensure the correct accounting and controls are followed and fit for purpose, for corporate and indirect tax within Refresco UK. You will receive support from external tax specialists and engage with municate to the business when changes to relevant legislation plex matters arise. As Tax Accountant, here are some of your key duities and responsibilities: Review and timely filing of UK & Ireland VAT returns, NL VAT returns, Plastic Packaging VAT returns, Alcohol duty return and Soft Drinks industry levy return. Accounting for all the above returns ensuring that all records are maintained. pliance and optimisation of import / export processes and associated duties. R&D claim preparation and submission with support of external tax advisors. Responsibility for the taxation elements of the Refresco UK Import / Export process post Brexit. Preparation of quarterly and annual tax reporting to Refresco Holdings. Managing monthly tax accounting together with the Financial Accounting Controller and liaison with the Group Tax Manager. Ensure insurance information is maintained and claims are processed. To provide support on tax projects and deputise for the tax manager. Find out what it is like to work at Refresco UK Head Office: About You You will be an experienced accountant (qualified or QBE) with a strong understanding of doing VAT and/or Duty tax returns, within an ever-changing, agile and fast-paced environment. You will be measured on accurate, on-time reporting, including accurate monthly reporting and pliance with relevant tax laws. You will ideally be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified but we will also look at QBE candidates. The essential knowledge is for you to have quality experience in tax-focused appointments and experience of strategic dealings with HMRC.
