Our client is a SEMH special school for boys from the age of 8 to 16, located in Littlehampton.
They are looking for a School Business Manager (SBM) to provide strong financial, strategic and operational leadership and will be key in the future development of the school.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational side of the business functions of the school, including financial management, administration, human resources, premises, health & safety and IT resources.
As School Business Manager you will advise and implement robust procedures and provide support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently. Working closely with external service providers and contractors you will be experienced in problem solving, negotiating and developing good working relationships that provide best value for the school.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, firmly believing in the importance of SEN education, and actively seeking ways to remove barriers to students achieving their potential.
Experience and Qualifications
The school is looking for someone flexible and adaptable, who has:
Successful leadership and management experience in a school, or in a similar field outside education
Well-developed analytical, strategic planning and organisational skills
Proven budgetary and financial reporting skills
Experience managing human resources, health & safety and premises
Highly developed literacy, numerical and IT skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders
A desire to be involved fully in the life of the school and is self-motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working
