Sales Director: Transport & Distribution
This role requires a successful track record of prospecting and selling transportation and logistics services to small, medium, and large UK-based freight clients. This role will be responsible for the Business Development of Challenge Logistics as well as continually?promoting operational excellence in line with our continued business growth.
Job title: Sales Director Freight + Logistics Location: National Salary: up to GBP75k+Bonus (dependent on experience)Working hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 - flexibility required About the role:
Strategically position profitable solutions with new customers with a focus on domestic freight products and services. To generate new sales revenue independently and for designated geographical regions. Develop entrance strategies for cold calling, qualifying and effectively connecting with prospective business partners. Create and drive sales plan strategies that successfully meet monthly sales goals and initiatives. Hold specific knowledge regarding domestic distribution as well as, staying current on market trends. Utilise internal tools to negotiate market rates for customers. Exude the highest level of customer service to both internal and external business partners and set the expectations that the task given will be completed to their satisfaction. Account Management to retain and grow current client base. Maintain a working knowledge of the Company's speciality services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements. About you:
You will be a self-motivated and target-driven individual with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. 10+ years Sales experience in Transport & Distribution with high-volume accounts. Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Road Transport, Domestic and Gateway operations. Ability to independently develop new business opportunities outside of the Company's network of customers. Ability to effectively communicate, maintain relationships and negotiate with customers. Ability to strategically analyse and pursue opportunities to deliver continuous growth to the organization. Excel in high-stress situations with Senior and C-level executives with the ability to not only present clearly but also effectively overcome objections with skillful persuasion using data-driven negotiation and tact. You will be an excellent communicator and confident working with stakeholders of all levels. You will have a full, clean UK driving licence
