The home is situated in Harborne, within the city of Birmingham and is easily accessible broadening the opportunity for candidates that do not hold a UK driving license. Full autonomy of setting up the service with the opportunity to mould the home.Responsibility for the management of safeguarding children and young people, risk, and service governance.Following robust and high–quality reporting and recording procedures.Ensure that children and have access to services which meet their health, education, social, psychological, and emotional needs, and wellbeing.Monitor outcomes and progress for children in accordance with their care plans.Management supervision, reviewing and monitoring standards, and practice development.Reviewing care and service plans to ensure care is being delivered effectively.Working with commissioners, local authorities, and health practitioners. Experience and qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or willing to work towards).Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).Minimum 5 years' experience working in children's residential.Experience in managing homes specialising in Learning Disabilities.Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Registered Manager in an Ofsted regulated home. Interested Candidates will need to hold a Social Work and or Management Qualification, ideally with a background in residential care working with adolescents and bring excellent management and leadership qualities.
