Victorian Pussy Oak (or Green Man ) antique writing bureau
Professionally restored about 6 years ago ( £400 spent at the time ) and in very good condition. ( It now has some cup marks on the top, which will polish out. I have the same polish/stain which the restorer used and will fix that when I can find the tin … but will increase the price to reflect it’s improved condition )
The bureau is carved well from oak with the carved cats faces being the handles for the drawers
All the drawers run well and the fall front is supported by long pull rests at each side of the top drawer, inside the fall there is a fitted interior with pigeon holes drawers.
This is a lovely old piece of furniture, it is in good condition apart from the marks on the upper surface but there is nothing structurally wrong with the piece
The desk stands 44” high, 36” wide and it is 19” deep
