Primary Teaching Assistant
TA required at primary schools in and around Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire - GBP90 per day based on experience - Immediate start

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced educators and support staff to provide essential assistance to the classroom, helping to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students.
Primary Teaching Assistant - KS1 & KS2 - located in and around Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Previous experience working with primary school students desirable
Full time role starting immediately- GBP90 per day
Training and development offered plus potential route into teacher training
As a teaching assistant in a primary school, your role is to support the classroom teacher in delivering educational programs and ensuring that young children receive a high-quality education. You may be responsible for assisting with lesson planning and preparation, such as setting up materials and resources for hands-on learning activities. This may involve organising and preparing instructional materials, like worksheets, crafts, or games, to help engage and inspire children to learn.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help is also a key responsibility of a primary school teaching assistant. This may involve working with children who need extra assistance with reading, writing, maths, or other subjects.
The key requirements for this role are:
Degree holder and/or significant experience working with childrenGood communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesStrong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to support students in these areasA patient and positive attitude towards working with children, with the ability to remain calm under pressureKnowledge of relevant policies and procedures related to education and child safeguarding The ideal Teaching Assistant will be supportive, patient, and adaptable. They should have a passion for helping children learn and thrive in a nurturing and positive environment.
