Do you have previous experience working with SEN children, or a degree in something related?
An OFSTED rate 'Good' School based in the London Borough of Lewisham is looking for a personable candidate to join their School, on a long-term basis, as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. The School is a short walk from the Catford station and offers onsite parking for someone who is looking to drive to work. This This forward thinking Primary School has a strong focus on the local community and both Children and Staff do their bit to give back. Being a 3-form entry, this Primary School is able to offer constant support and encouragement, all Teaching Assistants are encouraged to work together and give support and training when required.
The successful 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will need to have a degree and a keen interest in working closely with SEN students, along with a minimum of 3 months' experience working closely to Primary School children. Alternatively, the successful candidate will have over 6 months' experience working with SEN children, in a School environment or a similar situation. This role will be a full time role, on an ongoing contract until the end of July minimum. Should the successful candidate, prove themselves while in the role, there is an opportunity for a permanent contract and on the job teacher training, to start next year.
