The Role
An exciting opportunity has come up within the growing ELS centre team. The Education Administrator will be to play a key role in learner recruitment, enquiries, and data processing.
Our key intent in offering this as a Voluntary role, is to find the ideal candidate to take on the employed post in the months to come, through time and experience within our setting. Please note that the last volunteer to work with us in this way has since been employed to a full-time role, and we are now looking to repeat the success of this approach.
The candidate may ideally bring experience of working in a customer facing role, a or a recruitment/sales role. They should be an excellent administrator, a good communicator and have excellent intercultural awareness. They should also be a good team player and willing to offer ad hoc support within the team where required.
Please note that the ideal candidate should also have previous experience within an educational institution.
Main Responsibilities include:
Promoting ELS and its exams, courses and training
Master in-depth knowledge of the company’s full range of academic courses and exams
Recruiting new learners for these programmes
Liaising with and registering learners for selected courses
Responding to learner queries in a timely manner
Keeping track of the timetable for new joiners
Resolving potential issues or complaints and following up with customers about their application status
Contacting customers to obtain missing information, troubleshooting problems or identifying blockers /issues and highlight them to the relevant departments/teams for resolution
Maintaining and updating sales and customer records, including CRM database and other relevant sales records
Handling administrative duties for the Teaching, Examinations and Management teams
Providing a variety of reports as well as required reporting to customers and internal colleagues
Liaising with suppliers to keep pricing up to date
Co-operate effectively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of service excellence
Communicating customers feedback internally and directing to relevant departments
Role Requirements:
Experience within sales and customer service setting
Experience or knowledge of UK Education qualifications and examinations
Excellent phone manner and confidence speaking to people on the phone
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Great analytical and organisational skills.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to multitask, to prioritise tasks and the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work with a range of different people to diagnose problems and find solutions
Ideally GCSE English and Mathematics Grade 4 or above
Ideally educated to A-level standard or above

Initially viewed as a part-time role with a view to finding the right working schedule for the right candidate - up to full-time.
You will be given full training to support you in your role and learn how to be successful in our sector.
