Paralegal - Commercial and Civil Litigation

We currently have an opening for a Dispute Resolution Paralegal to provide general support and assistance to the fee earners within the team. This would be an ideal role for a Law Graduate with previous Paralegal experience. Please note the candidate must have a full driving licence and access to a car! Education & Professional Qualifications required: Minimum of 5 GCSEs A C (Grades 4 and above) A Levels preferred Law Degree advantageous Professional Experience required: Solid Administration / office experience required Previous experience of working as a Paralegal within a law firm preferred Litigation knowledge advantageous Personal Skills & Qualities: Polite and confident telephone manner Excellent client care / customer service skills A genuine interest in Law Friendly and helpful team player Well organised with ability to prioritise workload A good level of spoken and written communication skills Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail Able to use all Microsoft Office packages with good typing skills Motivated independent worker Good time management Drive to learn and expand legal knowledge Summary of the role: Dealing with new enquires Dealing with file openings including AML checks and ensuring all information is input into the case management system (Liberate) and ensuring monies paid on account Handling accounts matters on client files, invoicing and funds transfers Ensuring files are closed regularly and sent to deeds storage Covering reception as/when required General administrative support to the Litigation department Photocopying, filing, archiving Fee earner support including research Managing correspondence out and in with clients Drafting and typing letters, documents and forms Working on junior fee earning tasks assigned by senior fee-earners in the team (under supervision) Meeting with clients with senior team leader The successful candidate will shadow the team in meetings etc and will gradually build up their own case load, with full training and supervision
