An independent and niche building consultancy are now looking to bring in an intermediate level Building Surveyor to join them in Liverpool City Centre. With their recent success, they have built a vibrant team and are going from strength to strength within the industry with more surveying instructions and projects in the pipeline. Sector work involves a large amount of Healthcare and Higher Education (NEC3) with some residential development work offering Employers Agent Services. They also are now part of a framework agreement which is very heritage/church focused and have won another framework agreement with the local council. Perfect position for any aspiring building surveyor working through their APC wanting to have full support to become MRICS chartered as well as a variety of workload to keep your role interesting, challenging and fulfilling. Main Duties Provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of all types Carry out building and measured surveys Ensure buildings conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards Taking particulars on site, writing up specifications, obtaining estimates, planning maintenance programmes and administering contracts for maintenance work Analyse and report on building defects Handling claims and negotiations with loss adjusters leading to the preparation of drawings and specifications for remedial work Prepare schedules of dilapidations Supervision of building work on siteQualifications/suitable skills Working towards APC diary to become MRICS Previous experience working within a Consultancy environment Commercially focused RICS Degree qualified (Ideally within Building Surveying) Confident in client facing/looking to build/maintain relationships Analytical mind and presentable Personable and able to work within a team and work solely when neededTo discuss all my relevant roles in complete confidence please call Rob Hayton at Calibre Search Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
