Hourly Rate: £22 PAYE inclusive of holiday / £24 Umbrella
BRC are working with a Reputable Local Authority in Dorset to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor on a temporary and a temporary to potentially permanent basis. Our client is looking for someone to be responsible for project design, specifically for disabled adaptations and property extensions
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for project design, project management and associated procurement, providing support for disabled adaptations, building extensions and various other planned maintenance programmesLiaise and work closely with Planning, Building Control, and the wider asset management team, Environmental Health, Adult Social Care & Occupational Therapists to review and discuss works required on properties to improve tenant's lifestylesAssess tenant's needs for disabled adaptationsEnsure that contractors are carrying out works to a high standard, complying with statutory demands, in accordance with CDM regulations and that all health and safety is being followedPrepare tender documentation, drawings, specifications and schedule of works and apply for any necessary Building Regulation approvals and planning permissionProvide building surveying and design advice to colleagues within the surveying teams
Job Requirements
Driver with access to own vehicleExperience of working on property adaptations and extensionsGood working knowledge and experience of using AutoCADEducated to HND.HNC Level or equivalent
