The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II is a special run of Les Paul guitars made for The Guitar Centre in the USA some of which were imported into the UK by dealers such as Andertons (search for their YouTube demonstration of the range). It features split coil Super ’57 Classic (bridge) / 57 Classic Humbuckers selected using the push push knobs. There is also a boost which switches a 10db volume lift powered by a battery fitted in the electronics cover on the back of the instrument (the boost acts as a kill switch when the battery is removed). In addition the guitar features locking Grover tuners and a satin finish to the back and the (50’s) neck for fast smooth playing. In other respects, it is a regular Gibson Les Paul Standard of the period with two piece mahogany body, two piece maple cap and a rosewood fretboard on the 24 ¾”22 fret mahogany neck. Nut width is 1.69”. This is the perfect gigging guitar offering a wide range of sounds from Fender style rhythm tones all the way to full boosted Humbucker leads all at the push of a knob. Immaculate condition, hardly played, looks to have been never gigged. Unusual and rare colour. Comes with standard black Gibson hard shell case (white plush interior).
