We currently have a vacancy for a Financial Controller to be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of finance, accounting and tax functions across the UK, supplier network which comprises government, consumer and B2B markets. We are looking for someone who can evidence company growth from GBP10 to GBP20M and the challenges arising therefore. You will be accountable for: Management accounting - produce high quality monthly management accounts and other reports as required to inform our strategic decision making Develop the Group s internal processes and procedures in relation to financial management, addressing areas of risk and improving where required. Assess current systems and processes and optimise them to ensure efficiency and rapid scaling. Financial reporting - liaise with external advisers to produce statutory accounts. Manage the year end audit process . Assist in global budget process Taxation - manage the preparation of compliant and timely reporting and filing of all applicable tax obligations (incl. corporation tax, VAT, PAYE), ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. Monitoring the impact of tax legislation and liaise with tax advisors. Assist the CEOs with strategic tax planning. Invoicing - responsible for the monthly confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement (including invoicing) of all trading activity and industry costs in the UK. Required: Highly motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who can add value as part of a team A technical accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) and at least 4 years of post qualification experience At least 3 years of experience in an equivalent role. Extensive experience with accounting software (ideally Xero) Extensive experience of management accounting and financial planning Strong numerical and problem-solving skills including the ability to assess errors and variances to reconcile data Inter-company reporting experience Nice to have: Knowledge of the UK training sector / Distribution sector An experience in automating reporting Confident dealing with people at all levels across the business and ability to take responsibility and work with limited supervision Able to coach, delegate and lead effectively.
