Financial Accountant Contract

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be working with a well known and respected manufacturing business in Sheffield as they look to bring in an experienced Financial Accountant to support the finance team during a period of Finance Transformation and Change; initially on a 6 month fixed term contract, with potential to extend or go permanent. Offering: Flexible, Hybrid working Cycle to Work Scheme 25 days holidays + bank holidays This will be a varied role with duties & responsibilities to include: Provide support for month end close - working to a 2 day close and providing support to the Finance Manager's Raising journals, generating reports and any other support to the broader finance GL & Finance teams Daily bank reconciliations, reconciling the accounts and working with Finance Managers, AP and AR to resolve any mis postings Weekly meetings with AP and AR teams to discuss any discrepancies Provide support for the statutory accounts and necessary audit schedules as required for the entities responsible for Working with auditors as required, attending to audit queries and audit information requests Attending to ad-hoc requests from Corporate and other Finance Managers. Supporting various projects within the region and EMEAI finance Managing cross charges to other sites working with our shared service centre Raising invoices to other entities and maintaining the accruals and making sure we are receiving invoices in a timely manner To be successful for this role you MUST have the following skills: Preferred, but not essential, experience of Oracle, Smartview & Proficient Excel, Word and Outlook.
