Finance Assistant - Surrey

We are currently recruiting for an Finance Assistant, working as part of our Finance team to support across all Ellis Recruitment Group brands. The role will be based in Woking, Surrey. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be at the centre of our business. You will be a point of contact for our recruitment teams, as well as contractors and clients, therefore strong communication skills are a must. To enable you to support our people, you will need to have a strong eye for detail as well as the ability to multi-task, as recruitment is a fast-paced environment. You should also be inquisitive, with a natural aptitude for numbers and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role that will offer development and career progression within our growing organisation. Role Responsibilities: Timesheet submissions, reconciliation, and approvals Manage Contractor, Client, and Internal queries in a professional and in a timely manner Processing purchase orders and client billing information on our internal CRM systems Set up new suppliers approved in the finance system and ensuring credit terms are adhered to Chase up outstanding customer debts and credit control Reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts. Weekly and monthly reporting Manage supplier payments by BACs Monthly reconciliation of the bank account and credit card statements To assist with month-end routine close down procedures, while ensuring all tasks are completed accurately To maintain orderly filing systems for all financial records including purchase orders, sales invoices, purchase invoices, bank statements, etc. to audit standard Key Requirements: Intermediate level of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Excellent communications and people skills. Exceptional attention to detail and consistent delivery of high-quality work. Lateral thinking with creative and innovative concepts. Ability to multi-task in line with business requirements. Collaborative working across all in the Company. Act as an ambassador for the company values.
