Prodrive Recruitment are looking for an experienced fermentation Process Technician to join a busy team based in Malvern The company has varied role Salary: GBP25 k subject to experience Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours/week Location: Malvern Job Type: Permanent/Temp/Contract The Person: Good levels of literacy and numeracy Experience in a similar role The Job: Job Role: To effectively operate the fermentation plant and equipment, following documented procedures, ensuring stock requirements are fulfilled within the specified time frame and to the agreed quality standards, whilst maintaining compliance with the Company policies on safety, health and environment. Tasks: Weighing of raw material ingredients and addition to the fermenters. Operation of the fermenters monitoring of parameters, addition of control substances. Operation of other process equipment centrifuge, mixer, biological grinder, vacuum dryer and autoclave. Packing and storage of bacterial strains produced in both liquid and powder formats. Prepare fermentation media to high standards of biological cleanliness. Paperwork/electronic records to be completed for fermentation and packing tasks. Basic laboratory work optical density measurement. To ensure that the high standards of biological housekeeping standards are maintained. Follow documented procedures for the various standards the business operates to. To perform any other duties that may be required
