We are currently recruiting on behalf of a UK service broadcaster for a Compliance Manager to work on an initial 3 month contract, based in London. The role will be paying GBP400 per day. Main Duties: • Promoting understanding of compliance & ethics issues and related policies and procedures throughout the organisation • Coordinating the annual compliance risk assessment, Group Modern Slavery multi-year Programme, including the Modern Slavery Statement • Reviewing compliance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and our Code of Conduct • Conducting routine and risk based second line compliance monitoring and assurance activity of relevant business activities (relating in particular, to anti-bribery and corruption, fraud, tax evasion) and related policies and procedures; identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; assisting in and overseeing the implementation of remediation plans as necessary and generating reports on monitoring, auditing and risk assessments • Drafting concise, accurate Executive-level summaries and detailed reports of activities, that provide leadership with a clear and coherent understanding of issues, findings, and outcomes • Partnering with employees (including Senior Leaders) to maintain and further develop throughout the organisation a strong culture of compliance and ethics including personal accountability, at all levels in the organisation, with a spirit of partnership and problem solving • Ensuring horizon scanning, and maintaining awareness of regulatory compliance developments within or outside of the company; including remaining up to date on global approaches, emerging trends etc. • Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time from the Head of Risk Essential Requirements: • Educated to degree level or equivalent; Legal or similar relevant degree desirable • Demonstratable experience in implementing Compliance & Ethics Programmes, training and communication plans, ideally , gained in the Broadcast Media, Telecoms or Industrial Engineering Industry • Strong knowledge of industry process and regulations relating to Financial Crime (AntiBribery, Fraud, Tax Evasion etc.) and separately, Modern Slavery etc. • Proven track record of managing compliance & ethics risk management frameworks, including developing controls as part of a Compliance & Ethics Programme • Experience conducting second line monitoring and assurance of regulatory compliance risk- (essential) • Ability to spot trends and improve efficiency of compliance controls • Ability to assimilate and interpret information quickly; and explain complex regulatory and policy requirements without legal technical jargon • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and explain complex compliance requirements and convey difficult messages to stakeholders • Experience in advising on aspects of regulatory compliance in a multinational organisation/regulatory environment with a broad range of business activities • Can manage a large and varied workload, take decisions and initiative and meet challenging deadlines whilst managing the expectations of others • Confident, self-aware with willingness to identify gaps in knowledge • Project management experience (essential) (Prince II desirable) If you would like to be considered for this position and have the relevant experience, then please send your CV to Due to the high volume of applications we receive, if you do not hear from us within 7 working days, your application has been unsuccessful.
