About the role Active Reading have an exciting opportunity that has opened for a casual Ranger Station, Activity Assistant, working at the Ranger Station, Prospect Park. This post plays an important role in the delivery of activities at prospect park and ensuring that facilities are safe and welcoming to customers, and services are delivered at the highest standards. Your primary role will be assisting with onsite activities, low ropes, mini golf, and football and sports courts bookings in evenings and weekends, supporting clients with their scheduled time slots and assisting with enquires. Weekday shifts will be available and during holiday periods you may be requested to be working during the day if available. You shall also need to be able to form positive working relationships with clients, to help assisting with the organisation of activities or assisting with the schedule of bookings. The role may require you to assist with setting up football pitch nets and corner flags at weekends during the football season. The role will require you to support with ongoing general maintenance and health and safety on the 3G pitches, outdoor facilities, and tennis courts. You ll be part of a team that relies on each individual to play their part to the best of their ability. You will need to be both passionate about your work and excited about the opportunity to deliver a wide variety of activities and sporting opportunities for our community. As a casual activity assistant, you will: Be supporting the front-line delivery for sports facilities and events at Prospect Park and facilities in Reading. Monitor court bookings and on site activities Assist with payments if applicable and to ensure that pavilion facilities are safe, clean and inviting to customers whilst complying with the Health & Safety regulations.
