The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive specialist administrative support to the Stock Controllers at Wrangaton, and have primary responsibility for all \"first line\" stock control procedures for the large portfolio of Clients on this site.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Stock Control Assistant
Management of the Booking In Diary for all Clients on site.Field all first line contact from our Clients and their Suppliers relating to stock matters, received by telephone and email.Aim to action your emails and queries on the same day as they are received. If this is not possible, send a holding response, but track until the matter is resolved, keeping all parties updated on progress.In association with the Goods In Team who will physically check the stock, you will compare goods received against purchase orders and supplier delivery notes. Update our relevant systems as appropriate.On the basis that the stock received matches the stock expected on the system, arrange for stock to be put away and stock systems updated. Escalate any inconsistencies to the Stock Controller and/or Client.Assist in maintaining rolling stock checks for all Clients on site, and make stock adjustments as required.Assist with the administration of replenishment routines. Review the frequency and volume of this task, and where these are out of the ordinary, liaise with the Stock Controllers or Warehouse Managers as necessary. Assist the production team in trouble-shooting \"shortages\", but escalate to the Stock Controller if you are unable to resolve.Assist in the administration of \"obsolete\" lines, and update your systems as required.Assist with the printing of bar code labels for Whistl and our Clients' suppliers as required.Assist in the set-up and implementation of any new Client campaigns, and Client stock counts as required.Be aware of forecast client activity, so that you can plan and prioritise your workload. Please work flexibly to ensure there is sufficient cover in place during holidays or sickness.Maintain a reference guide for all of the tasks undertaken, so that this can be used as a reference / training tool, for anyone covering your workload if you are sick or on holiday.Essential SkillsSound operational knowledge of Stock Management and Warehousing within an eCommerce environment or Fast Moving Consumer Goods environment.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with your Client and colleagues alike, both verbally and in written communications.Be fully computer literate and numerate.Have a competent working knowledge Excel.You will need to have an organised and methodical approach, and a keen attention to detail.A knowledge of our Client systems would be an advantage, although full training will be given.Ability to calmly manage and prioritise a large workload, within pressing timescales.Willingness to undertake training to learn new skills, and to be cross-trained to support other warehouse departments during downtime.About CompanyWhistl are a delivery management company providing efficient, high-quality and competitively priced services across Business Mail, Parcels, Fulfilment and Doordrop Media both in the UK and internationally.
