We have an exciting role to offer, joining our warehouse team in Wrangaton nr Ivybridge.
We are looking for a Stock Manager who will comprehensively support the Business Manager through the effective day-to-day co-ordination and management of the goods in, stock control, replenishment, and returns teams on site, and all the specialist processes that fall within their respective remits.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective co-ordination of these specialist teams, which will in turn provide a strong platform for the warehouse production teams to achieve their production targets.
Core ResponsibilitiesProcess Management
Ensure shifts are planned correctly and that the site has the correct 'key' people in place to ensure your specialist teams meet or exceed their SLAs.Identify process issues and deliver workable solutions either independently or in discussion with the commercial team. Ensure all issues and any resulting decisions/actions are logged and communicated according to agree processes.Provide guidance and support to your respective supervisors on process, resource, and people management activities.Co-ordinate the manage all incoming stock onto the site.Weekly planning & daily management of the labour resource across shifts, in liaison with your supervisors, to ensure consistent achievement of efficiency targets.Leadership and Management of Staff
Communicate effectively with the team through daily and weekly meetings on business and personal performance and operational challenges. Sound operational knowledge of all aspects of stock management and warehousing within an eCommerce or FMCGExcellent verbal and written communication skills in order to: influence internal and external stakeholders through clear, concise business cases, disseminate information appropriately through the company hierarchy adapting communication style in line with audience and situation, and, communicate effectively with urgency and direction.Able to make clear and clinical decisions based on data and factual evidence in a fast moving, high pressure environment.Able to identify talent and develop staff in line with company policy.Able to interpret performance data in order to draw conclusions, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.Able to manage effectively in order to achieve daily and weekly tasks through organisation, delegation and prioritisation.IT Literate - proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS PowerPoint, and Excel skills for data analysis and presentation in order to influence business cases e.g., pivot tables, graphs, etc.Required Qualifications, Education and Experience
Typically, we would estimate that it would take at least 3 years within a comparable management role within an Ecommerce or FMCG environment to acquire the knowledge and skills required for this role.Significant people management experience, including performance management, staff development, disciplinary and grievance, absence control and management.Additional requirements:
Flexible, willing and able to respond to the needs of our busy operation in terms of working hours, and provide support away from the normal location of work on occasion as required by the business.
