Stairlift ACORN 120 SUPERGLIDE. A very safe and robust top quality stairlift just serviced in good working order with brand new batteries installed. This well engineered stairlift is now surplus to requirements. Beware when purchasing a used ACORN stairlift, there was a prominent hazardous safety recall on certain models which effected a welding mount securing the seat to the device. This particular model design was not effected but was still fully checked over for safety regardless by an approved Acorn specialist.
It is designed for a straight staircase only of around 12 to 14 steps and please note it is a left hand model meaning it can only be fitted to the left hand side of the staircase looking up the way. The rail system is adjusted to fit on the stairs themselves and is made of very strong aluminium. Please note that some of the pictures
shown herein are photos from the prehensive manual and show a right handed model. To be very clear once again, this is a left handed model for the
opposite side of how it is shown in the generic heading photograph.
The actual chair that mounts on the motor unit that is also shown in the photographs is in very good clean condition. The chair can be operated by who is ever
sitting on the seat or by one of two wireless remote control's by a helper or carer. The remotes that are include can be hand held or fixed to the walls at convenient positions, perhaps one upstairs and one downstairs. For additional safety if there are children present, the key can be removed from the key switch on the chairlift rendering the unit inoperable.
Fitting missioning within the Lothians and Peeblesshire by petent engineer can be arranged at an additional cost of around £150 subject to a survey visit. Please feel free to call with any further questions. Free delivery to local areas is another option.
