Senior Support Engineer - Submarine Systems Defence Faslane -Scotland Salary between GBP39,408 -GBP44,044 D.O.E Introduction We are working with our client a large UK Defence company who is looking to recruit a Senior Support Engineer with experience of Naval submarine systems and equipment. As the Senior Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing day to day provisions of engineering support to Royal Navy Submarine Ships based out of Faslane. Roles & Responsibilities Reporting to the Support team leader you will be responsible for: Making recommendations around the following: system operations, defect history, material specification, temporary/permanent repair options, alternative stores, repair time and impact on the submarine programme. Work closely with stakeholders to offer advice on maintenance & refit programs. Work closely with suppliers to source specialist parts. Have good diagnostics and problem-solving skills. Periodic travel to sister sites in Bristol and Plymouth. Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Be a time served engineer with and hold an HNC/ONC in either a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline. Be an experienced engineer with a good understanding of nuclear submarines and their associated ship, weapons, and propulsion systems. Have experience working on Submarines for Royal Navy - Essential Be eligible to obtain security clearance up to SC level.
