SKILLS/EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSWe are looking for candidates with:
At least 2 years' B2B journalistic experience covering technical subject mattera qualification in journalism, or equivalent work experiencea strong news sense and the ability to pursue and develop off-diary storiesa proven ability to build an extensive network of contacts within an industry or business sectorvideo or other broadcast experience (desirable)excellent attention to detail combined with problem-solving and proof-reading skills;digital editing skills (desirable);experience of working effectively with colleagues across the entire business;an ability to work productively in a remote working environment;fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc);experience/knowledge of the defence sector (or adjacent markets such as automotive or aerospace) is highly desirable as the successful candidate is expected to be or become a subject matter expert;knowledge of search engine optimisation techniques for news content;experience of using social media to increase audience and engagement for their own and colleagues' stories.
