Our client has become one of the UK's longest serving independent wholesale sandwich producers.
The Production Manager is a key part of the Production and Operations Team and is responsible for the efficient running of the production function for the company.
The role will increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely producing fresh sandwiches and frozen foods to the prescribed standards, ensuring that all packing, labelling, barcoding are to the highest standards.
Role Responsibilities but not limited to:-
Oversee the entire Production operation and management of the Production team.
Ensure all Quality Assurance tests are carried out at specific points in the production cycle. Liaising with Technical support to resolve any issues.
Ensure continuous improvement in all areas of Production.
Critically review and monitor daily operating results and to specifically update and recommend to Management on issues affecting Quality and Profitability.
Ensure total quality management to meet and exceed customers’ requirements/expectations.
Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the Factory Manager.
Assure competency and continuity of managerial and specialised personnel, making sure that they are fully capable of achieving management and manufacturing objectives through training and motivation.
Oversee the safe operation of all machinery and equipment, carrying out daily start up checks on all lines, reporting any discrepancies to the Factory Manager.
Allocate staff to ensure all working areas are clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
Allocate staff to ensure the cleanliness of the internal and the external areas of the factory.
Managing the process of the daily/ weekly deep clean of the entire production area.
Ensure all established policy and safety guidelines in the workplace are followed.
Present a neat and professional image and follow company policies and procedures.
Maintain proficiency in computerised systems and other technologies as required.
