Personal assistant / carer / personal trainer

Role:
Personal assistant / carer / personal trainer required in the Filton area to support a 67 year old Caribbean gentlemen recovering from a spinal cord injury. The gentleman is able to transfer in and out of a wheelchair and walk a few steps with a walker. He can shower and use the toilet unaided but requires assistance with dressing his lower body, meal preparation and daily maintenance around the home. Support with rehabilitation exercises at home and in the local area is also required.
Hours:
4/5 mornings per week 9am-1pm, days and hours flexible to include weekends. Current available shifts are Tue, Wed, Thur, Sat, Sun
Rate of Pay:
Between £12 and £14 per hour depending on experience. Enhanced pay rate available for candidates with personal training experience or qualifications.
Primary Duties will include:
some support with drying and dressing lower body
help with meal preparation
support with stretching and exercise programme as directed by physiotherapist
domestic duties and home maintenance

DBS certificate required
5.6 weeks annual leave
Driving licence, non-smoker, Covid-19 vaccination preferred
An interest in physical training and some experience of providing care would be beneficial
