The role requires a high energy, self-starter who can use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a small cross functional team.
Academic & Student Services Officer Responsibilities:
The Academic & Student Services Officer (ASSO) is a critical member of the College team in the administration of the key aspects of the student academic life cycle. Providing highly responsive and pro-active monitoring of student participation and engagement in their studies, the ASSO will assist the Manager of Academic Services (MAS) in the implementation and delivery of effective timetabling, student attendance systems and processes. The ASSO will assist the Manager of Student Services (MSS) in the implementation and delivery of effective student support services including: student arrival services; student enrolment and registration; student orientation and transfer; welfare support (student in jeopardy programme); student enrichment and enhancement; student communication; and related systems and processes. The ASSO will support all policies and regulations as they relate to the student environment, ensuring each student has the appropriate support services in place that will enable students to perform to the best of their ability.
Support the provision of front line services to Academic Teaching staff providing on-going support with regard to key information concerning the academic environment and associated technologies, making appointments for students and Academic staff as appropriateManage the front line student academic enquiries which will include: timetable and examination information and changes; assessment regulations and results releaseSupport the administration of Academic Staff Meetings and Learning and Teaching Boards inclusive of the production of timely and accurate minutesSupport student academic appeal and complaints processes by collecting relevant documentation and arranging meetings as necessaryAssist the MAS in the creation of Sponsored Students Academic Reports as requiredAssist the MAS to create and maintain the accuracy of student and academic data: student academic records; Module Guides; Academic Handbooks and College Moodle VLE/PortalSupport the MAS in the management of the College Events CalendarMaintain confidentiality at all times regarding college information and student filesSupport the management of student recordsParticipate in enrolment and orientation activitiesParticipate in 24/7 student support rotaCarry out duties as may be required by the CDP About us:
