1971 T2 Early Bay VW camper Westfalia, Arizonian desert import SOLID and Original!!!
Hi all and thanks for viewing our auction.
This is the last bus we have, never ever planned on selling her, life has had other ideas.
I'm not going to do a massive listing - have a good look at the photos, she is AMAZINGLY solid - its like new metal underneath literally - NEVER been welded.
Was painted in white to protect it from the Arizona desert sun - the original Montana red is underneath, nice patina on the white paint though.
She's an amazing bus - the ultimate early bay when UK registered. Never restored. Every panel and spot weld etc was done in Germany in 1970 - i find that totally amazing - and they all look superb. A true survivor, NOT a restored 'cheap metal plates and panels' example.
Engine is a belter - starts, runs and drives beautifully. Brakes are shocking, need a good bleed and overhaul. Handbrake perfect.
Anything not fitted in the pics, ike beauty rings around the front headlights will be included.
Original Hella reversing lights.
US spec towbar.
Needs a couple of cushions sourcing/making for the interior - aside from that the interior is complete and original.
Front seats are rough.
Needs a new canvas.
One upper rear corner is scabby. Easily saveable - see pics.

Good points. Genuine Westfalia, Lived in the desert which has kept the chassis like new (needs to be seen to be believed), original interior including the fridge. Original 1584cc twin port engine. ALL doors totally solid. etc etc etc.

Huge bargain to be had for someone, and a very reluctant sale. You can see from the photo's how solid and straight she is, amazingly flat sides etc.
Original Arizona registration/title present and correct - so UK registering is simply one form and £55.
Collectio welcomed - delivery around the UK no probs £1 a mile - £300 deposit required as soon as an offer is accepted please.
Many thanks again everybody - grab a bargain - I've seen welding bills higher than this - and then you have a patchwork quilt - this is all original unwelded 1971 VW steel!!
