About the job
Our client combines over 100 years of fabrication, pressing and machining experience and offers subcontract engineering services for a wide range of pressure vessel and large component projects in aerospace, Sub Sea, Defence and Marine industries. ISO 9001 approved and qualified in CE, ASME U-Stamp and China Manufacturing License approvals for pressure vessel fabrication., means they are perfectly placed as the ideal global manufacturing partner and supplier of complex pressure vessel assemblies.
We are looking for a Welder to join our expanding team. The role is permanent and located in Stanningley, Leeds. Working hours are Monday – Thursday / 07:00 – 16:45.
The role responsibilities
Responsible for welding sub-assemblies and pressure equipment using various welding techniques on high integrity pressure equipment.
Achieving a high success rate on any NDT welds
Achieving manufacturing hours and deadlines are achieved to meet the customers’ needs.
Ensuring you will become part of the right first-time culture.
Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Ensuring high levels of quality and workmanship are maintained.
Supporting other departments in the manufacture of products.
Completion of all paperwork to maintain complete traceability.
Essential experience
Experience working on
Pressure vessels
Radiographic and ultrasonic tested welds
With stainless steel
Welding in 2G position and to weld procedures.
Manufacturing to engineering drawings.
Core skills
Pipe welding
Open root welding
Weld purging
GMAW
FCAW
GTAW
Desirables skills and experience
Experience working with Inconel.
Experience using MMA.
Experience using SAW.
Pressure vessel Fabrication ability.
Remuneration and Benefits
Salary: £15-£17 p/h
