JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a web developer, your main responsibility will be to build reliable, responsive, high-performing web applications and services. The skills include using programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design, develop, and manage websites. To establish a website's user interface and to develop and test applications, as a web developer you have to frequently collaborate with web designers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Write programmes in more than one scripting or programming languages, such PHP or JavaScript.
2. Plan and create new application prototypes
3. Design the architecture of the components of an application
4. Decide on the best programming languages and technologies for the web application in order to build the website which will be fast and responsive.
5. Test the website accurately across various browsers and environments.
6. Logical thinking while solving problems.
7. Correct flaws in current projects
8. Rigorously evaluate new features on the web application to make sure they always carry out the intended function.
9. Run Performance benchmarking tests.
10. Create and test Application Programme Interfaces (APIs) for data interchange in applications.
11. Create and maintain databases.
12. Carry out code optimisation and refactoring on current code
13. Code should be documented so that other developers may understand it and contribute.
14. Applying off-page SEO (search engine optimisation)
15. Adding and managing information on web sites.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Technological expertise in areas including web application frameworks, server-side languages, client-side components, and database management systems
2. Accuracy and attention to detail
3. Understanding of the architecture of web applications, familiarity with version control systems, and knowledge of web security and encryption
4. Knowledge of development techniques (such as Agile and Waterfall)
5. A logical approach to problem solving
6. A degree in Computer Science will be preferable.
7. The capability to work individually and in a team.
8. Preferred 2 to 3 years of experience
9. The capacity to coordinate a variety of complicated projects and adhere to deadlines
10. Strong communication abilities.
