Wako China Dinner Service, Design 2385 also known as Tiffany
White centre, cream surround with black and gold design around the edge and gold banding. This is a classic design and this service was used at diplomatic functions in Tokyo and elsewhere. Except as noted below, in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, a very little of the gold band has rubbed off with use. Very similar in design and quality to Noritake.

In addition to the above, there are 4 dinner plates, 1 side plate and 2 soup bowls which are chipped but still serviceable.
Wako is an upmarket Japanese retailer similar to Harrods, with a flagship store in Tokyo's Ginza district. It was founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori as a watch and jewellery shop, now part of Seiko. The retail division was spun off in 1947 as Wako Ltd.
