T25 Air-cooled Westfalia 1979 campervan with Fresh 12months MOT
One of the very first air-cooled t25 already registered as historic and Tax and Mot exempt.( A Rare Find, unmolested and original)
As I'm selling I had a few things done.. Clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder as was leaking and a small section of welding ( this bus is totally solid underneath, any chassis/ structural welding was carried out before my ownership.. no rot box costing £1000s to repair here) Just put it through Mot even though it doesn't actually need one now and passed with flying colours ( as always, work done when and if needed)
All original interior apart from upholstery which can be purchased if wanted to...I covered myself to my taste underneath the cow print the upholstery is like new in a grey colour ..forgot to mention both seats swivel ( Photos now added..all works even the westy lounge setting :)
Has two original tables, one for from and one for back , fridge is good on 240 and 12v but can be a pig to light on gas ( think this could be normal tho)
Gearbox,Clutch and brakes all Good.
Owned for several years and been all over France twice , around Devon and Cornwall plus the lakes and north Wales many times, used as my daily drive for a few years...body work is good for age as what you see is what you get...worst being needs side panel on drivers side ( can purchase full panel from Schofields) plus a few rust spots and bubbling here and there - by no way pristine but price reflects this. pop top could do with a rub down and repaint ...( I have the decals but never got round to sorting) pop top canvas has seen better days but works fine and been patched where needed - I have bought a rainbow screens beige thermal wrap for winter camping and works a treat (Paid £400 - will come with sale) awning is not included.
Reason for sale is I'm no longer getting the use out of it now the kids have grown. what you get is what you see, no recent respray/ cover up ( do not expect a showstopper by any means) No silly offers I do know what this would be worth with some time and money spent on her. starts great every time, no issues apart from the obligatory oil leak ( don't they all ) and pretty darn slow up hills ( again normal I think) 2ltr original engine milage around 150 000..no power steering but this never bothered me..this is a rare opportunity to own a fabulous original air cooled historic Westfalia in the best ever colourway - bamboo yellow :)
