Volkswagen t25 Devon Pop Top 2l aircooled Campervan Project tax & mot exempt

Fabulous original Devon conversion pop top VW T25 campervan. I bought this with the intention of restoring to useable condition but loss of job with free storage, too many other projects means it's now up for sale. I got as far as replacing both sills so now structurally sound but there are plenty of other rust holes that require attention including both sides of the rear engine bay, rear valance, door bottoms and narrow strip above the front bumper for which a repair panel is present. The roof gutters window surrounds and chassis are all in good condition for its age. The pop top has no significant tears but is stained and the mounting frame needs repaired where the gas struts bolt on both front and back causing the roof panels to flex when the pop top is closed. I've fitted a new ventilated skylight so the van is now dry and watertight. Someone has painted the top half of the body cream over the original white and it is starting to peel off and the headlights are just placed for show. 2l aircooled engine starts easily and runs ok. The clutch gearbox and brakes are all in working order but remember it's not been driven far in 14years. I've bought a new rear swingarm from c&c which will need fitted but from memory the rest of the suspension is serviceable.
Inside is very original and complete but will require replacement or sympathetic restoration. The sink and cooker are in good condition and a new flush porta potti which I've started to make a wooden cover box for based on the Devon original is included. Rock and roll bed will need refitted and comes with original cushions and mounting points for rear seat belts are present. All trim panels have been removed and will need recovered and insulation sourced.
There are no camper electrics or gas other than basic 12v lights in the pop top but a used solar panel and empty gas bottle are included. Bumpers are also present with new endcaps and 3 boxes of new spares, service items and a complete set of brand new curtains. All these have cost well over £500 to source.
This will not be ready for the road after a weekends restoration but with a little time and effort could produce a fabulous original 80's campervan. Registered in April 1983 means it will be 40years old this year and therefore tax & mot exempt. Please message me with any questions as I've probably forgotten loads.
