The Gerald Genta designed Polerouter was produced to celebrate the mercial North Pole routed flights by SAS (Scandanavian Airlines Systems)
Case
35mm beautiful 14k Gold-capped case - where a heavy 300 microns of gold is mechanically applied rather than the thinner 20 micron 'plating ' method,
with those lovely trademark twisted lugs.

Stainless Steel screw-on case back with that all important Polerouter emblem
Stunning condition with only the slightest traces of previous ownership
Dial
Original Gold coloured dial in the desirable cross-hairs style, with some minor age-related patina
Applied Universal stylised logo in gold at 12
Lovely engine turned outer chapter ring providing the hour markers and inner minute track.
Original faceted Hands and sweep-second hand
Movement
This Polerouter features the technically significant Calibre 215 MICROTOR, 28 jewel, fully automatic movement with hand wind facility.
Power reserve of up to 57 hours !
Recent minor service and New crystal fitted. Running at - 2 seconds per day !
Fitted with a new high quality RIOS leather strap.
The Polerouter is particularly sought after. When new, these high-end watches were the same price as the Rolex Explorer !
