CAL vintage electronic timer with bakelite pointer in metal casing

This vintage timer has been owned by my family for many years.
The beautiful black/extremely dark brown bakelite pointer knob, approximately 55 mm in length and tapered to a point with white etched line, turns very smoothly.
The black metal dial plate reads 0 - 10 with the pointer able to move slightly lower than 0 and slightly higher than 10.
In a solid metal casing. The top cover lifts off while four retaining screws attach the board to the metal base.
No wires protrude and it does not rattle at all.
Minor 'scratches' and some 'roughness' & 'discolouration' in places on the metal.
Presently the timer does not work, however all ponents outwardly appear clean and in good condition so hopefully an enthusiast would enjoy identifying the ponent to restore it to it's former glory. Possibly it may simply require a charge.
All ponents may be seen in my photos.
The two capacitors are inscribed \"CCL 100 µF 50 V DC\" and \"WIMA 200/30\".
There are at least three colour-coded carbon-bodied resistors.
The control knob potentiometer is inscribed \"RS 500 kΩ LIN WE\"
A heavy item, certainly over a kilogram.
Dimensions are approximately 128 mm x 100 mm x 67 mm (without pointer) & 83 mm (with pointer)
