Booking Support Executive Full time (or part time 22 hours), based in office in Woking Travel System Support Executive GBP22,000 About our client Our client work with independent travel businesses to drive and support initiatives that help independent travel agents and tour operators to develop and grow their businesses About The Role Our client s support system is designed to help travel agents package holidays whilst remaining competitive under their dynamic ATOL. This means our client is the package organiser. Travel agents are acting as an agent selling on behalf of our client. The role is to support the system functionality and manually assist with complicated and group bookings. Responsibilities: Delivering customer service 5 over 6 days (2 Saturdays / month) via phone, email, or post. Manually making bookings where the system is unable to do so. Checking the system for failed bookings and following up with the member to confirm booking. Adding products to quotes and/or bookings such as airline baggage, special requests child seats, etc Keeping a log of failed bookings and system issues, reporting to the website provider or the suppliers to reach a solution. Maintain and respond to all emails in team inboxes. Maintain, check, and action all emails in team confirmation inboxes, ensuring all schedule changes, cancellations and amendments are sent onto the travel agents and followed up with a call. Completing weekly administration tasks, such as balances due. Responding and managing pre, during and post-travel customer complaints Keeping to the Service Level Agreement (SLAs) Escalate any issues that cannot be resolved with member and/or business partner to line manager Work well as part of the team to ensure efficient operation of the department Required skills and proficiencies Travel agency experience would be ideal but is not essential Strong geographical knowledge is a must A genuine passion for travel, Demonstrate a friendly but professional nature when delivering customer service, in face-to-face situations and over the phone/email Flexibility to work within changeable or reactive situations Strong communication skills the ability to be able to adapt and communicate confidently with colleagues and customers in all situations. Excellent spelling and written skills a must Strong calculation ability, and high level of attention to detail Moderate I.T skills with office and booking processes Understanding of the impact of global events on how people travel and are prevented from travelling.
